Note: Your Campus ID is the nine-digit number you use when logging into MyCSULB and BeachBoard. Click Next, then you will be required to set security questions and password for your account. The password is case-sensitive and should have the following requirements:

  • Must have 10-16 characters
  • Contains three of the following four character types:
  • Uppercase letters (A through Z)
  • Lowercase letters (a through z)
  • Numbers (0 through 9)
  • Special characters (` ~ ! @ # $ % ^ & * ( ) _ + – = { } | [ ] \ : ” ; ‘ < > ? , . /)
  • It must not contain spaces and non-English characters
  • Must not include any part of your full name
  • Should be any of your previous passwords

Additionally, your password will be locked after five unsuccessful attempts. If locked, you will be required to visit https://beachid.csulb.edu to set a new password.

Reset account

In case you forgot your password, you may reset your account. You will be asked to enter your Campus ID number and date of birth. Click on next and follow the succeeding instructions to complete the process.

Change password or security questions

If you want to modify your BeachID password or security questions, you just need to click Change Password or Security Questions. Then, you will need to login on all your mobile device(s) like smartphones and tablets on these device(s) using your new BeachID password, so they may continue to receive your campus email and to connect to campus wireless networks automatically.

The process of looking for an e-mail address is the same as changing a password or resetting the account. You just need to type in your Campus ID number and date of birth. Click on the Next button and you will see the email address connected to the entered information.
